A: This Corporation duly registered under the laws of the State of Florida
on Apnl 9th, 1996, by Document No. 96000001912, was organized as a non-stock
Association for the following
purposes sa stated in its registered Articles of Incorporation and
its By-Laws, namely:
2 ) To support tho reinstatement of the 1940 Constitution of thc Republic
af Cuba.
as well as its Sugar Coordination Law with their respective updated
amendments
thus granting to the three factors integrating the sugar industry of
Cuba, namely
Mill Owners, Cane Growers and Workers, the rights, guarantíes,
benefits, as well
as obligations, needed for a stable sugar economy, and the welfare
of thc Nation..
3 ) To protect and defend the corporations, legal entities and individuals
who werc
owners or Iessees of sugar mills in Cuba prior to the confiscation
of sugar mills by
thc regime vhich seized powcr on January 1 st., 1959. their successors
heirs and assigns.
4 ) To collaborate with other sectors of Cuban industries, related or
not-related to
the sugar industry. In the re-establishment of Cuba as a nation of
progressive
status and an exemplary member of the Intenational Community, and to
coordinate its
efforts with other organizations having similar purpose and objectives.
5 ) To engage in any lawful act or activity, not for pecuniary profit,
for which a
not-for-profit corporation may be organized, so far as is or may be
permitted by
the laws of the State of Florida and Section 501(c)(3) of lhe Intemal
Revenue
Code of 1986, as amended (the "Code").
